A restaurant in Auburn is closing its doors with plans to open a new bigger and better restaurant on Lewiston.

Tin Tin Buffet, a Chinese restaurant in the Center Street Plaza in Auburn, posted on the their Facebook page Friday that Sunday would be their last day before they closed after being in business for over a decade.

Tin Tin Buffet reopened on June 21 with new guidelines in place after being forced to close due to COVID-19 restrictions. Many buffets and salad bars in Maine have ended up closing due to health concerns. Tin Tin Buffet was able to reopen with changes to comply with Maine guidelines.

This doesn't appear to be the end though as in the same Facebook post the owners announced that they are planning to open a new restaurant in Lewiston in November. No other details were given, but keep an eye on Tin Tin's Facebook page for announcements.
