Things are heating up in Maine this summer.

There's gonna be some hot days, so definitely try and stay cool. Maybe a trip to the beach?

But did you know that even with these temperatures rising and the weather feeling warm, there's an even higher temperature that's taken the record for hottest temperature ever recorded?

The SEC states that that record hit twice in the same location: North Bridgton.

Funny enough, New Hampshire beat that record by a degree, but it also happened to be on July 4, 1911. Nashua hit 106 degrees.

Now that's a hot Fourth of July!

Let's just hope it doesn't get that hot anytime soon. Otherwise, we'll be asking for a snowfall.
