On May 5th, we celebrate a holiday that is not even this country's holiday! But, in America, we like to party and celebrate as much as we can; might as well. Cinco de Mayo is actually celebrated more in the US than in Mexico. Do you know what you are celebrating today?

Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the Mexican army's victory at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862 against France. It's celebrating the country's resistance for foreign intervention. For the US, it's a day to enjoy margarita's and delicious Mexican cuisine on a Thursday in May that would be just plain boring!

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo today with Portland Food Truck El Corazon this evening at Brian Boru's. They'll be there serving up authentic Mexican food, BBQ, live music, and more!

By the way, if you can't celebrate tonight; join us for our Street Eats and Beats festival, where El Corazon will be just 1 of 17 food trucks to eat from!
