Former Maine Shelter Worker Claims on Facebook Too Many Dogs Euthanized at GAHS
If you were let go from a job, would you unload secrets from the job on Facebook?
According to News Center Maine, Former Animal Shelter worker Amanda Kimball has gone viral with a post about her job on Facebook. Amanda worked for the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society and is accusing the new management at the shelter of over euthanizing dogs/cats. In this post she describes how much passion she has for rehabilitating these animals no matter how bad their behavior can be. She claims that under the new management these dogs/cats are not given the chance they need to get better and find a new home. She claims euthanizations have 'doubled' in the past 6 weeks since the management turnover and the new manager's last job was at a 'kill shelter'. This post is rather upsetting if it is all true and breaks my heart.
How do you feel about this?
