Flight Attendants Save a Dog’s Life on a Massachusetts Bound Plane
This is the only story that will make you smile today!
Darcy the Bulldog was on a flight with his parents Steven and Michele Burt headed home to Massachusetts from Florida when the unspeakable happened. Darcy began to have trouble breathing and he owners panicked. They took her out of her under seat carrier and noticed her tongue was blue. Hey got some ice to cool her off but, they could tell right away that it wasn't helping their fur baby breathe. Then, flight attendants Renaud Spencer and Diane Asher sprung into action to help. They grabbed an oxygen tank and mask to aid Darcy to get the air she so desperately needed. Within a few minutes Darcy came to and began breathing calmly. The owners thanked the JetBlue flight attendants saying:
I believe (crew members) Renaud and Diane saved a life. Some may reduce the value of the life because Darcy is a canine. I do not."
Michele Burt thanked JetBlue and the flight attendants who came to the rescue and wanted to remind people "that good people are doing good things on a daily basis even if it is in small ways or big ways."
JetBlue released a statement on the situation too saying:
We all want to make sure everyone has a safe and comfortable fight, including those with four legs. "We're thankful for our crew's quick thinking and glad everyone involved was breathing easier when the plane landed in Worcester."
Awwww, THIS is a story we can all use right now. Happy Endings are the best! I see you smiling!
