We have all seen and heard them lurking outside sports and concert venues on our way in. They are shady, and sometimes wear trench coats. They talk to every person that walks buy them, speaks in a low voice, and asks you 'hey, do you need tickets for the show/game tonight?'. Scalpers. They are abbreviating, and just give you a sour taste in your mouth before walking into an epic show/game. Sadly, scalpers have been a part of our lives for many years. But, that is all changing.

This month, President Obama signed the 'Better Online Ticket Sales Act'. The White House Press Secretary explained exactly what this law does:

prohibit the circumvention of control measures used by Internet ticket sellers to ensure equitable consumer access to tickets for certain events.

Basically that means the law will make it easier for fans to snag their tickets online for the ticket value price right when they go on sale. Yay!!

Eric Church has been a huge advocate for getting rid of scalpers for a while now. Most recently, he got help busting scalpers in several cities, including Boston; for his upcoming tour. Thank you Mr Church, and see you in 2017!
