If you are a Nascar racing fan, then you have watched Dale Earnhardt Jr. grow up to become a legend in his own right. His father was one of the greats and would be SO proud of his accomplishments on the track.

But, it's time to say goodbye to your favorite driver.

According to nascar.com, at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will hold a press conference to announce his retirement from Nascar racing. He is 42 years old, and had to sit our the entire last season due to a brutal concussion following a wreck at the Michigan International Speedway in June 2016. He sat out for the remainder of the season to come back strong this year. He has now become an advocate to highlight for research on sports related brain injuries.
