‘What the Crap Man’?! Don’t be THAT Person Waiting in Line
You know, sometimes stories come along in the news and in my life that are just 'not normal'. And, I shake my head, and say 'What the Crap Man'?!
Waiting in line for something? Well, welcome to America.
This holiday weekend, I went down to Massachusetts to have Thanksgiving. After turkey day, my Mom and I have started a new tradition. Dumping my nephews and headed to Foxwoods for some spa time, and gambling. Hey, don't judge; we all need to take that time to escape family. After our luxurious spa day Friday, Saturday was all about Bingo! My Mom got us tickets into the crazy big bingo for $75 a piece. When we got there, we had to wait in an insane line to get the tickets in. While waiting in line, a woman came up behind us. This woman proceeded to complain and freak out for the entire 40 minutes we waited. She was out of control, and would NOT stop. She worked herself up into full blown fit, and it was SO negative. Me and Mom kept giving each other 'WHAT THE CRAP MAN' looks, until my mom walked away to sit down. I saved our place in line, and had to consistently block out this crazed woman's angry babbling. It was brutal, and the funny thing is, this woman was doing all of this to herself. Really lady, you think have a temper tantrum waiting for bingo at Foxwoods is worth the aggravation? I turned to my mom at one point and said, "Well, it could always be worse. We could live in a foreign country and be waiting in line for food because we are starving to death." My mom then said, "Wow Annie, that is depressing. But true". We also blame this woman for our bad luck at bingo. We didn't win squat!
Moral of this story is this holiday season when you have to wait in line, just calm down. Breathe, and don't be a jerk. Because all you are doing is hurting yourself and those around you. Appreciate that you have the freedom to wait in line for that hover board your kid wants for Christmas. It's the holidays dang it, be cheerful, and like it!
