You know, sometimes stories come along in the news and in my life that are just 'not normal'. And, I shake my head, and say 'What the Crap Man'?!

This is NOT a laughing matter. IT is so disappointing.

According to WMUR Channel 9, Sargent Nathan Lyons of the Atkinson police department has been a fixture in the community as a D.A.R.E officer. The drug abuse resistance education program has been around forever teaching children in schools to say NO to drugs. The Supintendant for the town says that Sgt Lyons has been an 'excellent resources' to the students at Atkinson Academy. Unfortunately, this officer is not living my example. Yes, good people can do bad things. We are all human. All law enforcement officers are under pressure and stress everyday. They protect us. This is a tough story. Sargent Lyons has been accused of a hit and run while under the influence of alcohol. He then refused a field sobriety test and was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, reckless operation and conduct after an accident.

I do hope that officer Lyons gets the help he needs. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom, to build your way back up.
