Saco is starting a cute little Farmer's Market this weekend and I can't wait to go!

We are so blessed to live in a beautiful state that is full of local artisans and farmers. Last Sunday I went to the Harvest of the Harbor Marketplace event which was 2 huge tents full of local food, beer and wine businesses giving out samples. You could also buy their products right on the spot. I ended up buying this carrot cake cream cheese from Springdale Farm in Waldo, Maine. It was heavenly and I ate the entire tub of it in 2 days. Now I want more!! I know that sometimes it can be a bit more expensive to buy local but, when you do the money is staying right here in Maine. And, you are getting a fresh product. #soworthit

When Summer and Fall come to an end, most Farmer's Markets close up shop until the Spring. So sad! But, I just found out that in Saco, which is within a walk from my place in Biddeford is starting a Farmer's Market in Pepperell Mill Campus. Tomorrow is there soft opening and I am stoked to check it out!!

Do you tend to buy more local goods? Or, stick more with the big grocery stores?
