The Camden Snow Bowl is a blast! According to Bangor Daily News and my brother, Billy, it's all about daredevil toboggan rides, teams dressed up in crazy costumes, tubing for the kids, campfires, food and great music.

People travel from all over to gorgeous Camden, Maine to take part in this quirky Maine tradition. Participants in the 28th Annual U.S. National Toboggan Championships race down a 440 foot long ice chute on wooden toboggans, fly across Homer Pond and take in an ocean view while doing it.

Here's footage from the chute:

The team names are creative too, here's a taste:

Bilbo's Boggans

Pandamonium, (dressed as Pandas of course)

Sled Man Walking

Bath Destroyers

The Flying French Fries

Three Big Kahunas

L'Eggo My Sleigh-go

Deer Isle Smiles

Flying Beer Boys

The Skow-Town Bombers

It Happens every year, start talking to your crew now about putting together a team for next year's 29th Annual Camden Snow Bowl.
