Help contribute to a great cause for our furry friends. It is a beautiful thing to see a community come together to make things better. This park belongs to everyone, not just Standish residents.

My great friend April has lived in Standish now for a year and she has stepped up to be a part of the community. She has two sweet rescue pups, Ryder and Gracie, and she has always been very active with them. Her dogs, much like most dogs, happiest place on earth is a dog park. April noticed that there is not a dog park open in her town and she wants to change that. Standish Parks & Recreation are working with the Standish Community Dog Park group to raise funds to expand Memorial Park on Route 25. Part of the expansion is to have a dog park as well there. But, the dog park can only be funded by donations and fundraisers. The funds are needed to buy $25,000. This money is needed for construction and materials. April has been collecting donations for a while now and thank you for those that have donated. There will be a Pawsta Dinner this Friday, 11/2, from 5p-7p in at the Standish Municipal Center to help raise even more funds. There will be prizes and raffles as well. You can preview items that will be prizes and with the raffle by clicking here.

Tickets are available and cash only please.

Another way of finding more money for this project is for Standish Community Dog Park to win a contest with the Mateja Group at Keller Williams Realty Greater Portland. All you need to do is cast your vote at the Facebook link below for Standish Community Dog Park. If they place, they will receive funds for the dog park as well.

Please take the time to help out Standish, Maine to have a proper fun place for all dogs living there! Thank you!
