Tis the season to be jolly, but for some; it's more about headaches. And, residents in a small Connecticut community want to stop a long held Christmas tradition.

WMUR Channel 9 is reporting that after 18 years, the Halliwell family may have to take down it's 300,000 Christmas lights display at their home. 45 Residents near the home have signed a petition to have local police handle the traffic that come by to take in the display. Last year, the humongous display got about 30,000 visits during the holiday season. Local police advise they cannot have an officer on the scene directing traffic everyday, but that there are parking lots in the surrounding area. The display also raises money for the Shriners Children's Hospital. None of the residents have complained directly to the Halliwell family. As of now, the display is open for all to see. And, show no signs of stopping. It is expected to draw more people than ever to take in all the joy and lights!
