I'll admit it, I have some real pet peeves when it comes to driving. For example...driving too slow, driving too fast, tailgating, driving in the left lane and holding up traffic, not using a turn signal, not knowing what a yield sign really means, and not knowing how to use a rotary. And that's just off the top of my head!

I'll also admit, in my opinion, the BIGGEST offenders of all those are drivers in Massachusetts. So imagine my shock when I discovered that Massachusetts drivers are not the worst drivers in the United States.

According to a study by the website SmartAssett...Mississippi has the worst drivers in the nation. The rankings are based on four factors: the percentage of uninsured drivers...DUIs per capita...fatal accidents per capita...and Google searches for things like speeding tickets or traffic tickets.

So where did Massachusetts drivers rank? Much to my disbelief...SmartAssett says they are THE BEST drivers in the entire country! Vermont was second best. Maine and New Hampshire also made the top 10 list of best drivers.

Now if they could all just learn how to use a blinker I'll be happy. Safe driving everyone.
