Looking for an inspiring story about what people can do here in Maine? Here ya go.

Bangor photographer and activist Jeff Kirlin originally set out to raise just $500 for Maine Rape Response Services, and he expected to contribute half of that himself.

That's what he said last week, when the fundraiser blasted past $17,000. The news has been buzzing across facebook all around Maine, and tonight, the fundraiser that started as a reaction to a Republican legislator's comments about sexual assault just hit a massive milestone - $25,000.

People from all over Maine and the US have donated to the cause, and every penny will go straight to Rape Response Services, an organization that helps to support sexual assault victims. Get more info and help out if you can here.
