Who doesn't like local free family fun?

I moved to Biddeford June 1st and I have been exploring the area since. I am right in the middle of downtown and a walk away from downtown Saco. This area is not what you remember. It is 'up and coming' as the hipsters say with new restaurants, apartments and breweries moving in. I don't need to go to Portland anymore to go out on the town. That saves me lots of gas and tolls too! Now I have found a fun event happening this weekend all outside! It is for adults and kids too. But, the best part is that it's free. I got you at free didn't I? LOL

RiverJam Fest is happening this weekend September 14-15 and all the events are happening all along the Biddeford and Saco town lines. According to their website riverjamfest.com, here are the locations for events:

Red Moose = Mechanics Park, Biddeford. Site for Saturday afternoon family activities.
Blue Guitar = 100 Main Street, Saco, parking lot behind Run of the Mill. Site for Saturday night’s concert with Snughouse, Bri Lane, Sylvain’s Acadian Aces and Spencer Albee & Zach Jones.
Teal Kayaker = Rumery’s Boat Yard, site for Saturday afternoon’s “try a boat” activities.
Purple Music Note = Shevenell Park and Main Street Biddeford, site for Friday night’s Fringe Festival.
Black Plume = 32 Main Street, Entrance to Pepperell Mill, site for “Influx,” art installation grand opening.

P = Parking. Parking on Saco Island is limited to Run of the Mill guests and people with disabled placards.  So we recommend using all of the public lots listed below, as well as side street parking. Some will park in downtown Saco and Biddeford and walk to the festivities.
-Saco Transit Station parking
-Water Street, Biddeford
-Foss Street, Biddeford
-Washington Street, Biddeford

Events include live music, lots of play spots for the kiddos, food and local arts and crafts. Oh, and a beer garden! Check out the highlights from last year's event.
