New York City is famous for two things...pizza and the New York Yankees. But I'm happy to say not only did Boston send the Yankees home in the American League Division Series this season...the city also knocked off NYC as the best place to get a slice of pizza.

TripAdvisor just announced that Regina Pizzeria is the nation's top-rated pizza. Boston.com says the travel site analyzed millions of online reviews. Based on “the quality and quantity of reviews and great pizza reviews,” the site created a list of the top 10 pizza restaurants in the United States.

New York City did have the second best pie. Bleeker Street Pizza came in second according to the report by Boston.com. However, the website says Modern Appiza in New Haven, Connecticut took third place.

This is amazing news for me. I'm a HUGE pizza lover. Although, I've never been to Regina Pizzeria. I've seen them around Fenway Park. But I just assumed they were another franchise pizza joint with cardboard crust and gummy cheese. Suddenly I feel like I need to give them a try the next time I'm in Boston.
