Conway Police Ask for Your Help for ‘End 68 Hours of Hunger’ Food Drive Saturday
There is nothing sadder than knowing that a child is hungry. This time, you can help to feed that child.
It is hard to fathom that in American, thousands of children go to bed hungry every night. According to a study in 2016, 1 in 5 children go to bed hungry at some point during the year. This breaks my heart and I bet yours too. Coming up on Saturday, you can help and make a difference. The Conway police department is holding a food drive for the 'End 68 Hours of Hunger' program Saturday. Bring any food that you can to the Hannaford Supermarket at 32 Mtn Valley Blvd North Conway, NH this Saturday from 10am-2pm.
'End 68 Hours of Hunger' is a private, not-for-profit, effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive at school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive at school on Monday morning. Unfortunately this is a reality for some many and it is our duty to step up and help. Make a difference in these children's lives this weekend and in your life too.
