Adventures of Annie: Boarding The CAT Ferry & Landing in Nova Scotia
Check out my voyage to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia aboard The CAT Ferry!
Once again my job has proven to be absolutely insane, but in a good way! I am VERY lucky to have this job and to share my life with you everyday. My recent adventure took me aboard the fabulous CAT Ferry that leaves right here from the Ocean Gateway in Portland and lands in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Bay Ferries along with Yarmouth and Acadian Shores invited me to be spoiled my them for a quick weekend and I was more than happy to accept. And, The CAT Ferry is amazing and makes you comfortable through the 5.5 hours sail with many things to distract you with. You can enjoy some yummy food and cocktails at the Scotia Market and Forchu Lounge. A band named Celtic Rant performs and even gets you in on the act. There is a gift shop on board too. There are 2 movies that play and you can play board games too. And, you can keep the kids busy with fun in the Little Mate’s Quarters Children’s Play area.
Once I landed in Yarmouth, NS I was whisked away into a bone chilling and yummy mini tour of town. Candice Phibbs was my host during the tour and she shared the rich history of this port and so great ghost stories. She knows how to tell a scary story, check it out!
During the tour, we stopped into a local restaurant for some yummy bites called Rudders Restaurant and Brew Pub. Perfect night cap. We then went a bit more on the walking tour and then we stopped into Heritage Brewing Co. for their Grand Opening of their bigger and better location. Of course we know I sampled as much beer as I could and it was fantastic! Then, to our hotel Rodd Grand for a good nights rest for a BIG day tomorrow!
