5 Perfect Beach Reads According to Kira
Remember the days of Summer reading? Because it was mandatory and usually included some kind of written assignment after, I used to dread it.
But as an adult, I like to do my own Summer reading. Just give me a clear day, a towel and a good book and I could perch up all day without a care in the world. And my Summer reading doesn't require completing a homework assignment when I'm done. Usually, I just talk about the book over wine with my pals if I'm lucky.
If you are fishing for some perfect beach reads, here are five of my favorites:
Reese Witherspoon loved this book so much she decided she is going to direct the movie adaptation. You will grow a soft spot in your heart for Eleanor. She is quirky, endearing and relatable and this book is as easy to read as a day at the beach.
I love books about love and self discovery so this one was right up my alley. Plus once you are done with it you can watch the movie which is one of those rare cases where the movie is just as good as the book.
This one is a story of two best friends and their journey over several decades. Just know that it is going to make you ugly cry in public.
From the same author that brought us "Big Little Lies" this one is a serious page turner that does not disappoint.
Jodi Picoult is one of my all-time favorite authors. Her writing is so gripping and every single chapter ends in a such a way that you have no choice but to continue reading to find out what happens next.
I hope my suggestions treat you well. I don't gravitate towards anything too heavy for beach reads because, in my opinion, a day at the beach should be easy! haha
Since I've read all of these, I need some new suggestions from you! If you have any, feel free to leave them in the comments section. :)
